What is the range of the radio controlled lights? Our radio controlled lights have been designed for the towing industry.  The range varies depending on many factors....such as where the transmitter is mounted or behind what type of load are the lights being used.  In our older products the range was between 60 to 125 feet. In our new and advanced systems, we can reach up to 300 feet   Is there anything I can do to maximize the range of the lights? If you are using the remote lights only on one truck....you might consider a permanent mount antenna being mounted on the headache rack of the truck along with a transmitter to be hard wired to your truck's wiring.  There is no extra cost for this type of transmitter if you specify when you place your order.   How long will the batteries last? This is a question with two answers....On a full charge your magnetic lights will last about 10 hours with the taillights on.  If you have one of the many styles of truck bars we manufacture...the amount of time between recharge will vary much more widely.  From 4 to 20 hours depending on your style of truck bar.  The conventional truck bar with standard lights will operate for about 4 hours between recharge. The truck bar using the LED lights will last for 20 hours between recharge.   How often will I need to replace the batteries? We used sealed lead acid batteries which are rechargeable.  The batteries are considered to have 200 cycles.  You could take a new battery from a full charge to a full discharge 200 times.  Or you could take that same battery and use it for 1000 or more sub-cycles.  (Use it for 10 minutes here then place on charge and use it for 5 hours there and then lace it on charge)  The battery will not develop a memory.  IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO HAVE YOUR LIGHTS ON RECHARGE WHENEVER THEY ARE NOT BEING USED.  In short....about every year or two you should replace your batteries.   Where do I purchase these batteries?
