New Ramsey Heavy Duty Planetary 8,000lb Winch. The new Ramsey HD-P 8000 has been designed with Tow Truck Operator in Mind! (Tulsa, Oklahoma) Ramsey Winch Company world leader in Towing & Recovery winches, introduces a new winch designed for the Professional Towing & Recovery market. The all new HD-P 8000 winch series has a spring applied & hydraulic released disc brake. The new brake is quiet in operation, sealed which requires no maintenance and set at the factory eliminating any initial brake adjustments or field adjustments. Winch reel-in rotation can be reversed simply by changing position of cartridge and plug in the counterbalance valve. A motor spool (open center) directional control valve is required to operate the HD-P 8000 winch. 1st Layer line speed on the HD-P 8000 is 50 feet per minute at 15 GPM and 2500 PSI Hydraulic system. The HD-P 8000 standard drum (9.75” wide) weighs 82 lbs and short drum (6.5” wide) weighs 76 lbs. The HD-P 8000 meets SAE J706, CE, and REMSA standards.
